The Wiggler
Well... I cant believe I am an Aunt... I truly didnt know that you could fall in love instantly, but found this out the moment I met Ellen.
Ellen Crane Kim was born in September 2007. Although it was a joyous experience, unfortunatly my sister had a very tough delivery and without going into too much detail, she was unable to give 100% care to Ellen for the first few months of her life. Different family members went down to Maryland to take care of Ellen and I was lucky enough to get two weeks of baby nurse duties. She is so adorable, and will definitly be a handful. The best part about it is that I think it brought me so much closer to my sister. It took helping in a time of crisis for us to come together and realize how important it is to have each other. My mother has told us since we were little, just how lucky we were to have each other and we never quite believed it, but now I understand. I think thats why Rebecca will indeed end up having another baby, because having a sibling is so important.
It makes me think about how wonderful it must be to have a child of your own, but at the same time when I am feeling ultra mushy and depressed because I dont have one...I look at this one to remind me that the best thing is being an Aunt because you can hand her back to her parents and say "see you soon"

Hawaii 2007
My adventures in Hawaii took my from the Big Island to Oahu... ATVing through the set of LOST (yes I'm a huge fan) swimming in a waterfall pool after a hike, eating berries from a tree, walking on lava flow, on beautiful beaches. Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous. Its a fascinating thing to go from the jungle to lava as far as you can see to lush mountaints then to gorgeous beaches. A must see! Now I only have one state left to visit then I will will have seen the entire U.S.!!! I need to see Alaska...
Now back to LOST... man oh man...if you are a fan..YOU NEED TO VISIT THE SET its so gorgeous. I took an ATV ride right through where they filmed and was able to see all the beautiful nature you get to see in the show! You see how they filmed the cave and jungle scenes, and also the golf course where Hurley played! I can see why many of the actors chose to buy a house here...I certainly would if I could afford it! Hawaii...makes NYC look cheap haha
Its amazing to see what the lava flow has done to each island.
I walked through a lava tube..which is actually a tunnel underground that was created by the hot lava flow. You can actually walk through the lava tube!
I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village...it was quite extraordinary... Oh and at the 2nd Hilton, you actually had to take a boat to get to your hotel room! I got to swim with a dolphin which was quite amazing because the creature was like feeling a rubber tire!
I'd like to go back and see some of the smaller islands because I hear they are even more beautiful. I would recommend this trip, but remember that the beaches are public, so dont waste your money on the fancy hotel...since you wont be spending much time in your room! Renting a car is a must! Driving around the island and exploring will really give you a better feel of what its like to live there.

The Crane Resort
Imagine the most beautiful beaches.... the water crashing over the sand... and a resort so incredible that you can hardly believe its reality. My friend Katie convinced me to go on vacation for Spring Break 2006...we went onto expedia.com at the last minute and she convinced me by finding a place called The Crane haha. Now...this is my escape from everything... I will go every year until I die :-) If you ever get a chance to go to Barbados...this is the place to go.

Moving out of NYC
I cant believe it...no more NYC. I lived at Zeckendorf Towers in Union Square for 6 years and LOVED IT! I remember first moving in right before 9/11... how scared I was already to be living in NYC....and then bam..the world changed. It was quite an experience to be able to just walk outside my building and be in the craziest city in the USA. Theater every weekend, people everywhere, the best food, and basically the best of everything. Here are some photos of my NYC apartment...
I remember painting my bedroom the BRIGHTEST yellow in the entire world ha ha...so that it felt like the sunshine when I woke up (awww) and my livingroom was definitly an experiement of colors with green and peach walls.. a mural on one side too! My tiny kitchen did the trick (I mean...c'mon... who cooks in NYC. Looking back... I wish I never moved. I loved living in NYC with all the action. I know that the reason I moved was because my commute was brutal, and space was...well...tight... which is funny because I was lucky enough to have a 1 bedroom. A lot of people live in studio apartments in NYC with a spouse!!! (insane) Anyway... I am really happy that I had this experience in my life to live in the city, and hopefully I'll find that the suburbs are just as exciting in different ways. Heh heh
